Sunday School

Sunday school welcomes all children and young adults between the ages of three and 20.  It meets at 10:30 a.m., the same time as the Sunday church service. Students and teachers use the King James Version of The Bible and the Christian Science Textbook by Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with key to the Scriptures, to help explain the spiritual meaning of the Bible.

Students attending Sunday school are placed in classes according to age or grade and learn about God’s ever present love for them and how to apply Christ Jesus’ teachings in their daily lives. First lessons include:  The Ten Commandments; The Lord’s Prayer with its spiritual interpretation; Christ Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and Bible stories and healings from both the old and new Testaments.

Older students study the weekly Bible Lesson Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly -which is read out loud on Sundays throughout the world during church services. Both students and teachers explore practical spirituality through asking questions and discussion. All students are encouraged to apply what they are learning to their daily experiences.
